Kelsey Robinson, Asbury University - Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week
5-10 Junior - Petersburg, KY

Asbury University junior Kelsey Robinson was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week and softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 5th.

Robinson pitched 24 innings over four games last week and finished with a 1.46 earned run average. She ended the week with a 2-1 record. The junior pitcher allowed five earned runs and struck out 18 batters. She picked up wins against Ohio Christian and Spring Arbor University. Robinson struck out nine batters against Ohio Christian as the Grenadiers won 4-1. She has pitched 28.2 innings this season and currently has 2-2 record with a 3.17 ERA.

The junior hit safely in five of six games played last week and finished the week with a .500 batting average (8-for-16). She had 5 doubles, 3 runs batted in, and scored 4 runs. She recorded 2 hits against Ohio Christian and both games against Spring Arbor University. Robinson is currently hitting .421 and leads the Eagles with a .579 slugging percentage.

Asbury is currently 3-5 overall. They will return to action on March 7th when they travel to Georgetown College for a doubleheader.
