Joey Smart, Indiana University East - Men's Golfer of the Week

Indiana University East freshman Joey Smart was named the KIAC men's golfer of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 2^nd.

IU East participated in the Berea College Spring Tee-Off on March 30^th and 31^st. Smart won the tournament on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff. He finished with a two-day score of 143 on the par 72 course. Smart shot a 74 on the first day and finished with a 3-under 69 on the final day. His two-day score set a new school record for a 36-hole score. IU East will return to action at the Taylor University Invitational on April 9^th and 10^th.
