Asbury University freshman Stephen Woods was named the KIAC men's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 30th.
Asbury finished the week with a 3-0 record after defeating Oakland City University (7-2), Indiana University East (9-0), and Berea College (9-0). Woods was 3-0 in #4 singles play and 2-0 in #3 doubles play. He won his singles match against Oakland City 6-7, 6-2, 10-8 and his doubles match 8-1. The Asbury freshman won his singles match against IU East 6-0, 6-1 and his doubles match 8-2. He ended the week with a 6-2, 6-4 singles win against Berea College.
The Eagles are 12-6 overall and 5-0 in conference play. They will return to action on May 4th and 5th at the KIAC Tournament in Richmond, IN.
