Kayla Duke, Indiana University Southeast - Softball Pitcher of the Week

5-4 Senior - Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast senior Kayla Duke was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 30^th. This is her fifth pitcher of the week award for the season.

IU Southeast finished the week with a 4-0 record. Duke pitched eight innings during two games last week. Duke pitched one inning and struck out three in the IU Southeast 13-2 win over Alice Lloyd. She then pitched a complete game shutout against Brescia on April 29^th. She only allowed five hits over 7 innings and struck out five Brescia batters. She currently has a 12-6 record on the season with a 1.69 earned run average in 111.2 innings pitched.

IU Southeast is currently 29-17 overall and 18-2 in conference play. They will return to action on May 4^th and 5^th at the KIAC Tournament hosted by Midway College.
