Berea College freshman Kari Kviten was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 30th.
Berea College finished the week with a 3-1 record. Kviten ended the week with a .500 batting average (6-for-12) and 1.083 slugging percentage. She collected at least one hit in all four games played and tallied 4 runs, 4 doubles, 1 homerun, and 9 runs batted in over the four games. The freshman right fielder leads Berea with .394 batting average (37-for-94) and has a team high 9 doubles on the season.
Berea is currently 13-21 overall and 7-13 in conference play. They will return to action on May 4th and 5th at the KIAC Tournament hosted by Midway College.
