KIAC Track and Field Championship Results
Berea College took Both the Men's and Women's Titles at the KIAC Track & Field Championships this weekend. On the Women's side Berea scored 227 points to runner-up Indiana East's 95. The remaining teams on the Women's side were St. Louis College of Pharmacy - 77 pts., Brescia - 74 pts., Mountain State - 54 pts., Asbury - 51 pts., Midway - 19 pts.
The Woman's KIAC Track & Field Athlete of the year was Vanessa Legg of IU East who competed in the 100m (4th), 400m (4th), 200m (5th), Javelin (1st), Shot Put (3rd), Hammer (5th), Long Jump (6th), High Jump (2nd), and 4X100m relay (4th)
The Women's Track & Field Coach of the Year was Dan Bryant of Berea College
On the Men's side it was a much closer battle between Berea and St. Louis College of Pharmacy with the final outcome not determined until the last few events. Berea 266 - St. Louis College of Pharmacy 215 . The remaining Men's team's were IU East - 111 pts., Brescia - 19 pts., Mountain State - 17 pts., Asbury - 1 pt.
The Men's KIAC Track & Field Athlete of the year was Alec Daily of St. Louis College of Pharmacy who competed in the HIgh Jump (1st), Triple Jump (2nd), Long Jump (4th), Pole Vault (5th), Javelin (5th), 200m (5th), 400m (1st), 110m Hurdles (3rd), and 4x400m relay (2nd)
The Men's Coach Track & Field of the Year was David Baker of St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
