Men's Soccer Conference Preseason Poll Released

Asbury University Men's Soccer Preseason Favorite

The KIAC coaches have selected Asbury University as the preseason favorite in men's soccer for the 2012 season, conference officials announced Wednesday, August 15th. Asbury received 16 points including four first place votes. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team. Asbury won the Men's Soccer Tournament Championship last season and finished 14-6-2 overall. Asbury will return the KIAC Offensive Player of the Year Trent Popp and Defensive Player of the Year Dylan Fouts. Point Park University joins the KIAC this season and was selected second by the coaches. They received 13 points and one first place vote. Cincinnati Christian was selected third by the coaches with 9 points. Berea and Brescia complete the poll with 7 points and 5 points respectively. The 2012 men's soccer season will begin in mid-August.
