Coach Tracy: New Face, Familiar Place
Cincinnati, OH (May 3, 2012) – Cincinnati Christian University has named Ken Tracy as its men's basketball head coach, announced Aaron Burgess, CCU's director of athletics.
"We are excited to welcome Ken back to the CCU family," Burgess said. "Coach Ken has achieved success at every level as a player and high school head coach. It was important for us to find a coach that would be passionate about developing our student-athletes as individuals and keeping the CCU tradition of success.
In his eight seasons at Clermont Northeastern he led them to four conference titles and a state ranking in the AP state poll. In 2000 Tracy recorded the best season in school history with an 18-5 record, a perfect 10-0 conference mark, and the school's tenth SBC regular-season crown. Mr. Tracy received Coach of the year honors four of his eight years at Clermont Northeastern including being name District coach of the year for the East/West All Star game.
"I would like to thank CCU President Dr. David Faust for the opportunity presented to me," said Ken Tracy newly hired head men's basketball coach. "I look forward to building a foundation of success starting with the young men currently representing our university and program. Cincinnati Christian University has a bright future, I am honored to represent this program and lead it to a championship level."
A native of Canton, Ohio, Tracy was a member of the National Championship teams at Cincinnati Christian University in 1986, 1987 and 1988. Along with achieving excellence on the court, Tracy performed well in the classroom applying it to a successful business career.
Tracy earned her bachelor's degree in English Bible and Psychology from Cincinnati Christian University in 1988.
