Lauren Birch, Midway College - Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

5-6 Sophomore - Lexington, KY

Midway College sophomore Lauren Birch was named the KIAC women's soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 17^th. Midway finished the week 2-1 after earning wins against Ohio Midwestern (7-2) and Berea College (3-0). Birch played 270 minutes in three games last week and led the back line in a successful shutout of conference opponent Midway. The Eagles are 2-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will return to action on September 17^th when they host Kentucky Christian College.
