Asbury University sophomore Griffin Appel was named the KIAC men's soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 3rd. Asbury won their first two regular season games and finished the week 2-0 after defeating Johnson Bible College 15-0 and Hanover College 5-1. Appel picked up two wins in his first two career starts. He only allowed one goal in 135 minutes. Asbury University is 2-0 on the season. They will return to action on September 4th when they host Taylor University.
