Ashmere Woods, Indiana University Southeast -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-7 Senior – Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast senior Ashmere Woods was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 14^th.

Woods averaged a double-double with 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds as the Grenadiers won both of their conference games last week. She connected on 45.8 percent (11-of-24) from the field and 50 percent (4-of-8) from behind the 3-point line. The senior guard started the week with 15 points and 4 rebounds as IU Southeast defeated Brescia 72-61. She finished the week with 22 points and 17 rebounds in an 80-78 win against Alice Lloyd College. Woods is second on the team with an average of 16.3 points per game.

Indiana University Southeast is currently 10-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play. They will return to action on January 15^th when they host Midway College.
