Trenia Barbee, Asbury University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-8 Senior – Detroit, MI

Asbury University senior Trenia Barbee was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 21^st. This is her third player of the week award of the season.

Barbee averaged 28.5 points, 7 rebounds and 3.5 assists as the Eagles finished the week with a 1-1 record. She connected on 47.6 percent (7-of-15) from behind the 3-point line. Barbee started the week with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in a 71-68 loss to Berea College. She finished the week with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a 101-77 win against Indiana University Southeast. The senior guard connected on 5-of-8 of her 3-point attempts in the game. Barbee currently ranks 3^rd in NAIA Division II points per game (23.04) and is 25^th in 3-point field goal percentage (40 percent).

Asbury University is currently 14-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. They will return to action on January 22^nd when they host Kentucky Christian University.
