Indiana University East senior Marcus Isaac was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 28th. This is his second player of the week award of the season.
Isaac averaged 26 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals while leading the pioneers to a 2-0 record last week. He connected on 65.5 percent (19-of-29) of his field goal attempts and 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from behind the 3-point line. He started the week with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a 112-94 win on the road against Park Point University. The senior guard finished the week with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals in a 93-80 win against Berea College at home. Isaac is fourth in the KIAC and leads the Red Wolves with 17.81 points per game.
Indiana University East is currently 15-7 overall and 5-2 in conference play. They will return to action on January 29th when they host Cincinnati Christian University.
