Brescia University junior Alejandra Matiz was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 7th. Brescia finished the week 2-0 after defeating Kentucky Wesleyan College (9-0) and Carlow University (9-0). Matiz won her #2 singles match against Kentucky Wesleyan 6-1, 6-1 and #1 doubles match 8-5. She won here #2 singles match against Carlow 6-0, 6-0 and her doubles match 8-2. Brescia is currently 7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play. They will return to action on October 11th when they travel to McKendree University.
