KIAC Volleyball All-Conference Awards Announced
Asbury junior Sarah Sterling was named the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Year by conference coaches, conference officials announced Tuesday, November 19th. Sterling ranked near the top in several KIAC statistical categories. The Asbury outside hitter was 2nd in hitting percentage (.333), 2nd in kills/set (3.5) and 2nd in total kills (472). She also ranked 17th nationally in NAIA total kills (472).
Asbury head coach JP Radar was named the KIAC Volleyball Coach of the Year. Asbury finished the season 35-7 overall and won the KIAC regular season with a 10-1 conference record. The Eagles also claimed the KIAC tournament championship. They will play at Park University in the NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening round on November 23rd.
Asbury senior Allison Rehner was named Comeback Player of the Year and Indiana Univeristy Kokomo freshman Micayla Speidel was named Newcomer of the Year.
