Indiana University East junior Tyler Fangman was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, November 4th. The Red Wolves finished the week 1-1 after defeating Missouri Baptist and losing to Southern Wesleyan (SC) last week. For the week, Fangman averaged 31 points, 9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3 steals. He recorded 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in a 94-86 win against Missouri Baptist. The junior guard finished the week with 35 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals in a 102-98 loss to Southern Wesleyan. He connected on 47.9 percent (23-of-48) of his field goal attempts including 37.5 percent from behind the 3-pt line (6-of-16). IU East is currently 1-1 overall. They will return to action on November 5th when they host Indiana Wesleyan University.
