Matthew Nelson, Berea College – Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Freshman – Hendersonville, TN

Berea College freshman Matthew Nelson was named the KIAC men's soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, November 4^th. Berea defeated the University of Pikeville 1-0 in their only contest last week. Nelson faced 15 shots and recorded four saves in the shutout against Pikeville. Berea is currently 7-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play. They will return to action on November 5^th at Brescia when the KIAC/GCAC unaffiliated tournament begins play.
