Cody Banet, Indiana University East -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Indiana University East senior Cody Banet was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 2^nd.

Indiana University East finished the week 1-1 after defeating Trinity Christian College 84-76 and falling to Saint Xavier University 98-96. For the week, Banet averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.5 steals. He connected on 56.7 percent (17-of-30) of his field goal attempts. The senior guard tallied 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 steals in the win against Trinity Christian College. He ended the week with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists in the loss to Saint Xavier. Banet is averaging 16.08 points per game this season and ranks 24^th in NAIA Division II total steals (19).

IU East is currently 4-8 overall and 0-1 in conference play. They will return to action on December 3^rd when they host Wilberforce University.
