CJ Penny, Asbury University -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Asbury University junior CJ Penny was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 9^th.

Asbury University finished the week 3-0 after defeating Centre College (87-81), Ohio Christian University (78-68) and Welch College (96-71). For the week, Penny averaged 14.7 points, 10 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals. He connected on 62.5 percent (20-of-32) of his field goal attempts. The junior forward recorded 13 points and 15 rebounds in the win against Centre College. He ended the week with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals in the win against Welch College. Penny ranks 8^th in NAIA Division II rebounds per game (10.33).

Asbury University is currently 7-2 overall. They will return to action on December 14^th when they travel to Hiwassee College.
