Samantha Weir, Point Park University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Point Park University freshman Samantha Weir was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 9^th. This is her second player of the week award of the season.

Point Park University won their only contest last week, defeating Alice Lloyd College 91-84 at home. Weir tallied 31 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocked shots in the game. She connected on 62.5 percent (10-of-16) of her field goal attempts and 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the free throw line. The freshman center is averaging 14.78 points and 10.11 rebounds on the season. She ranks 2^nd in NAIA Division II blocks per game (3.11) and 13^th in rebounds per game (10.11).

The Pioneers are currently 9-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will return to action on December 14^th when they host Brescia University.
