POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – Cameron Mitchell had 18 points but IU Southeast fell 69-56 on Monday night in the semifinals of the 013 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Championship.

IU Southeast trailed by double-figures in the first half before cutting the lead to nine with under a minute to play. Then Cameron Mitchell hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to make it a 42-36 game at halftime.

Cardinal Stritch (34-3) used a 17-1 run to break the game open in the second half. The Wolves led by as many as 19 in the final frame.

Mitchell finished with 18 points and eight rebounds and Kegan Clark added 13 points in the loss.

Tony Smit had a game-high 21 points for the Wolves. Darren Moore had 15 points and Jeremy D'Amico had 14.

Cardinal Stritch shot just 29 percent the second half but the 19 points deficit was too much to overcome for IU Southeast. The Grenadier shot just 35 percent (7-20) in the second half and were only 7-21 from three-point range in the game.

IU Southeast finishes with a 30-5 record, which ties the school record for wins set in 2005-06.
