KIAC Men's Basketball 2012-13 Season in Review

The 2012-13 KIAC Men's Basketball season introduced conference newcomer Point Park University and saw the conference represented in the National Final Four. The IU Southeast Grenadiers represented the conference in the NAIA Tournament and made it to the NAIA Division II Final Four before falling to eventual national champion Cardinal Stritch. IU Southeast claimed the regular season and conference tournament championships and finished the season 30-5. They finished 3rd in the final Coaches' Poll.

The conference had four players named NAIA All-Americans. KIAC men's player of the year Cameron Mitchell was named to the NAIA Division II second team. His IU Southeast teammate Jake Simpson was an honorable mention selection. Joining them as honorable mention selections were Marcus Isaac (IU East) and Adam Delph (Asbury University). Cincinnati Christian head coach Ken Tracy was named the KIAC Coach of the Year.

Two KIAC basketball players were named Daktronics –NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Scholar –Athletes. Student- athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
