Brescia University freshman Jonathon Kamuf was named the KIAC men's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 15th.
Kamuf finished the week 6-0 after winning all three doubles and all three singles matches last week as the Bearcats ended the week with a 3-0 record. He came from 2-5 down in the first set and survived 3 set points to win the fifth and deciding point, 7-6(1), 6-1 in Brescia's 6-3 win over IU Southeast. He also had #5 singles victories over Alice Lloyd (6-0, 6-0) and IU Eat (6-1, 6-1). The Bearcats are 6-5 overall and 5-0 in conference play. They will return to action on April 19th when they host Asbury University.
