Indiana University Southeast sophomore Jordan Batliner was named the KIAC softball player and pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 15th. This is her third player of the week award of the season and first pitcher of the week award.
Batliner finished the week with a .471 batting average (8-for-17) as the Grenadiers ended the week with a 6-0 record. The IU Southeast sophomore had three multi-hit games, 2 doubles, 2 homeruns, 10 runs batted in and 8 runs scored. Batliner is hitting .455 on the season (40-for-88) which ranks 32nd nationally. She also earned a pair of wins in two outings on the mound last week. She pitches seven innings and struck out nine in a 4-0 win against Asbury. She also pitched seven innings and struck out six in a 5-1 win against Carlow University. She is 4-1 on the season with a 1.86 earned run average over37.2 innings.
IU Southeast is 27-5 overall and 17-1 in conference play. They will return to action on April 17th when they host Georgetown College.
