Asbury University sophomore Scott Layton was named the KIAC men's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 22nd.
Layton finished the week 8-0 after winning four #2 singles and four #1 doubles matches on the week. Asbury defeated IU East, Oakland City, Brescia and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. They also clinched their second straight KIAC regular season championship. In two years, the Asbury sophomore is undefeated in conference play. He is 10-0 in singles and 10-0 in doubles matches. The Eagles will return to action on April 26th at the KIAC Championship.
