Ashley Morran, Point Park University – Softball Player of the Week

5-10 Junior – Washington, PA

Point Park University junior Ashley Morran was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 29^th. This is her second player of the week award of the season.

Morran finished the week with a .636 batting average (7-for-11) as the Pioneers finished the week with a 4-0 record. The junior second baseman had 4 homeruns, 9 runs batted in, a double and 7 runs scored. Morran is hitting .395 on the season (51-for-129) and leads the Pioneers with 12 homeruns, 14 doubles and 53 runs batted in. She ranks 15^th in NAIA total RBIs (53) and 19^th in homeruns (12).

Point Park University is 29-11 overall and 22-6 in conference play. They will return to action on May 3^rd at the KIAC Tournament.
