Indiana University Southeast junior Jenna Swain was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 8th.
Swain gave up only 3 hits and struck out 10 over 7.1 innings last week. She earned the save while striking out a pair of hitters in the Grenadiers 13-5 win over Midway College. The junior pitcher also earned the win after pitching 6 innings and striking out 8 Brescia batters in an 8-0 win. Swain is 4-2 with 3 saves on the season. She has a 3.10 earned run average of 38.1 innings pitched.
Indian University Southeast is currently 21-5 overall and 11-1 in conference play. They will return to action on April 9th when they host Asbury University for a doubleheader.
