Asbury's Adam Howard to spend summer with Southern California Seahorses
LA MIRADA, Calif. – Rising junior Adam Howard will spend the summer with the Southern California Seahorses in the United Soccer League Premier Development League (PDL). The season began on Saturday with the Seahorses losing 4-3 to the OC Blue Strikers FC.
Howard missed most of his sophomore season due to an ankle injury suffered early in the season against Campbellsville. Despite the injury, Howard found the back of the net six times and assisted on four more in just 10 games. As a freshman in 2011 he was third on the team with eight goals and second with eight assists, finishing with 24 points.
The Seahorses are part of Missionary Athletes International (MAI) which also own and operate the Charlotte Eagles and Charlotte Lady Eagles.
The season continues for the Seahorses on May 18 at FC Tucson. The season runs through July with the postseason concluding in early August. The Seahorses play in the Western Conference of the PDL and in the Southwest Division.
