Brescia Men's Basketball Helps With Habitat for Humanity
The Brescia men's basketball team helped the Owensboro Habitat for Humanity in late March. Coach Josh Gibson and his team were eager to do some community service after resting a few weeks from a tough season. Coach Gibson said, "I consider it a privilege for our team to work with an organization like habitat for Humanity. The Owensboro community provides us with a great support base and we want to say thank you and give back to the this community whenever we can."
The Bearcats helped the local Habitat for Humanity chapter with a two-house build. Half of the team helped seal the exterior of one house while the other half of the team hung the exterior wall sheeting on the second house. Gibson added, "This was a tremendous experience for our players and a chance for them to make a tangible difference right here in Owensboro. We are thankful for this opportunity and we would encourage anyone who can to contact Habitat and volunteer their time to help complete this project."
