KIAC Female Athlete of the Year
Indiana University East volleyball player Lauren Crump has been named the KIAC Female Athlete of the Year, conference officials announced Monday, July 15th.
Crump was the KIAC volleyball Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. She was an NAIA Volleyball All-American for the third year in a row. She finished her career as the NAIA's all-time assists leader in the rally scoring era. She led IU East to a 44-6 record, the most wins in the nation at any level. IU East won its fourth consecutive KIAC title and advanced the NAIA volleyball national tournament final site for the first time. Lauren also excelled off the court, earning CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division first team honors and two Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards.
