Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll Released
Berea College Men's Cross Country Preseason Favorite
The KIAC coaches have selected Berea College as the top men's cross country team, conference officials announced Tuesday, August 13th. The Berea men won the 2012 conference championship last season. They collected 81 points in the poll including nine first place votes. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team. Asbury University was last season's championship runner-up and was selected in the second spot by league coaches with 69 points. Brescia University is in the third spot with 67 points and one first place vote. Point Park University and St. Louis College of Pharmacy claimed the fourth and fifth positions with 52 and 51 points respectively. They are followed in the poll by Indiana University East (44 points), Cincinnati Christian University (30 points), Carlow University (20 points), conference newcomers Indiana University Kokomo (18 points) and Alice Lloyd College (18 points). The 2013 cross country season will begin in late August.
