Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll Released

Brescia University Women's Cross Country Preseason Favorite

The KIAC coaches have selected Brescia University as the top women's cross country team, conference officials announced Tuesday, August 13^th. The Brescia women won the 2012 conference championship last season. They collected 97 points in the poll including seven first place votes. Asbury University was last season's championship runner-up and was selected in the second spot by league coaches with 94 points and four first place votes. Berea College sits in the third spot with 80 points. Point Park University and is fifth with 63 points. St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Indiana University East are tied in the sixth position with 61 points. They are followed by Carlow University (43 points), Midway College (40 points), KIAC newcomer Indiana University Kokomo (29 points), Alice Lloyd College (23 points) and Cincinnati Christian University (14 points). The 2013 cross country season will begin in late August.
