Berea College freshman Matthew Nelson was named the KIAC men's soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 16th. Berea College finished the week 1-0 earning an 8-1 win against Ohio Mid-Western College on Saturday. Nelson recorded earned seven saves and didn't allow a goal in 65 minutes of play. Berea College currently has a 2-3 overall record. The Mountaineers will return to action on September 19th when they host Crown College.
