Point Park University junior Angie Abel was named the KIAC women's soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 16th. The Pioneers finished the week with a 2-1 record. They began the week with a 2-0 loss to Eastern Oregon University. They earned a pair of conference wins against Berea College (3-0) and Midway College (2-0). Abel is the starter at center defense and was instrumental in Point Park's two conference shutouts. The Pioneers only allowed a single shot against Berea and six shots against Midway. Point Park is 3-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They will return to action on September 18th at Geneva College.
