Taylor Ashworth, Berea College – Volleyball Player of the Week

Berea College freshman Taylor Ashworth was named the KIAC volleyball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 23rd. Berea finished the week 5-0 after defeating Midway College (3-0), Carlow University (3-0), Johnson University (3-0), St. Louis College of Pharmacy (3-1) and Ohio Christian (3-1). Ashworth was named to the Spoonbread Smash All-Tournament team as Berea finished as the only undefeated team in the eight team tournament. The freshman outside hitter finished with 54 kills in five matches last week to go along with 7 aces and 43 digs. Berea is currently 9-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play. They will return to action on September 25th when they host Asbury University.
