Baseball & Softball Coming for 2015-2016

Cincinnati Christian University is pleased to announce the addition of Men's Baseball and Women's Softball for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Over the last several years, we have seen steady growth of the student-athletes on campus. CCU currently offers 10 Varsity sports with both Men's and Women's offerings in Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer and Volleyball. For the current academic year, CCU also began offering JV Men's Basketball. The addition of Baseball and Softball to CCU's offerings will greatly expand the number of student-athletes and will strengthen the Spring athletic offerings for all students on campus.

CCU is also pleased to announce the hiring of John Taylor as the Head Men's Baseball Coach. John, who has also served as a Captain in the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for almost 30 years, brings a wide amount of experience to the position. A graduate of Western Hills High School and member of the 1977 State Championship team, Taylor went on to play at Marshall University for two years. From Marshall, he went on to be a part of the Chicago White Sox organization for three years. Taylor has also served on the coaching staffs of Western Hills High School for five years and a summer select baseball program for over 25 years, as well as with the previous CCU baseball program. A member of Lifespring Christian Church, Taylor not only brings baseball skill to the position, but also fully supports the mission of CCU.
