Ja'Nia McPhatter, Point Park University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Point Park University junior Ja'Nia McPhatter was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 22^nd.

Point Park University finished last week 2-0. They won on the road at Wilmington College 79-57. Wilmington was ranked No. 22 in the latest NCAA Division III poll. McPhatter recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds in only 25 minutes of action. The Pioneers finished the week with a 75-69 win against NCAA Division II Alderson-Broaddus College. The junior forward tallied 16 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. In two games last week, McPhatter shot 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the field and 44.4 percent (4-of-9) from behind the 3-point line. She is averaging 10 points per game and is 7^th in NAIA Division II 3-point field goal percentage (48.6).

The Pioneers are currently 11-1 overall. They will return to action on January 3^rd when they travel to Asbury University.
