Heather Wheat, Indiana University Southeast -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-6 Senior – Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast senior Heather Wheat was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 8^th. This is her second women's basketball player of the week award of the season.

Indiana University Southeast won their only game last week, defeating Alice Lloyd College on the road 89-78. Wheat finished the game with 31 points while shooting 68.8 percent (11-of-16) from the field and 60 percent (3-of-5) from behind the 3-point line. She also had 3 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals. The senior guard currently ranks 8^th in NAIA Division II points per game (21.1), 11^th in steals per game (3.3), 18^th in assists per game (5.2) and 20^th in field goal percentage (55%).

The Grenadiers are currently 7-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will return to action on December 12^th when they play in the Union Tournament in Barbourville, KY.
