Indiana Southeast University freshman Jessica Leanhart was named the KIAC softball pitcher of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 10th. This is her second pitcher of the week award of the season.
Indiana University Southeast finished the week 2-3. Leanhart finished the week 2-0 after earning wins against Lindenwood-Belleville and William Woods (Mo.). She finished the week with a 4.20 earned run average and struck out eight opposing batters in 6.2 innings pitched. The freshman pitcher is 4-1 on the season with a 4.32 earned run average in 22.2 innings pitched.
IU Southeast is currently 5-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play. They will return to action on March 13th when they travel to Berea College for a doubleheader.
