Katelyn Heines, Indiana University Southeast – Softball Player of the Week
5-3 Freshman – Louisville, KY
Midway College freshman Katelyn Heines was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 10th.
Heines ended the week with a .385 batting average (5-for-13) in five games played last week as the Grenadiers finished the week 2-3. The IU Southeast freshman had at least one hit in four of the five games including a 2-for4 game against William Woods (Mo.). She finished the week with 5 runs scored, 1 homerun, 1 stolen base and 1 run batted in. Murphy is hitting .417 on the season.
IU Southeast is currently 5-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play. They will return to action on March 13th when they travel to Berea College for a doubleheader.
