Hank Stewart, Brescia University – Baseball Player of the Week

6-2 Senior – Cartersville, GA

Brescia University senior Hank Stewart was named the KIAC baseball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 17th.

Stewart finished the week with a .542 batting average (13-for-24) as the Bearcats ended the week with a 4-3 record. The senior catcher tallied 18 runs batted in, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 4 homeruns, 7 runs scored and 3 walks. He had at least one hit in all seven games including a pair of 2-hit games and a pair of 3-hit games. He set a Brescia single game record for RBI's with 9 in their 25-6 win against Asbury. He also had two homerun games in their 18-7 win against Asbury. He ranks second in the KIAC with a .466 batting average and leads the league in slugging percentage (1.041), homeruns (10) and runs batted in (47). He also ranks 1st in NAIA slugging percentage and runs batted in and is 2nd nationally in homeruns.

Brescia University is 18-9 overall and 3-1 in conference play. They will return to action on March 19th when they host Martin Methodist for a doubleheader.
