KIAC Men's Basketball 2013-14 Season in Review
The 2013-2014 KIAC Men's Basketball season included an exciting regular season and conference championship while a pair of teams earned a spot in the NAIA National Tournament. IU Southeast won the regular season championship after they finished the regular season 17-0. Regular season runner-up Cincinnati Christian defeated IU Southeast in the conference championship, 83-71. Both teams advanced to the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Championship. CCU fell in the opening round with IU Southeast falling in the second round. IU Southeast was ranked No. 11 in the Division II Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll and CCU earned enough points to earn the No. 33 position.
IU Southeast head coach Wiley Brown was named the KIAC Coach of the Year and Asbury junior CJ Penny was named the KIAC Player of the Year. Penny was 9th in the conference in points per game (15.89), 2nd in field goal percentage (55.7), 1st in rebounds per game (10.04) and 4th in steals per game (1.75). He also ranked 7th in NAIA total rebounds per game (10.04). Berea College junior guard Daishon Robinson was named the KIAC Newcomer of the Year after transferring to Berea for the 2013-14 season. Robinson was named to the all-conference team. He ranked 6th in the conference in points per game (18.17), 3rd in steals per game (1.97) and 2nd in assists per game (4.90). CJ Penny (Asbury) and Cameron Mitchell (IU Southeast) were named Third Team NAIA All-Americans. Tyler Fangman (IU East) was named an Honorable Mention All-American. The coaches selected the following student-athletes to the all-conference team.

The KIAC had three basketball players named Daktronics –NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Scholar –Athletes. Student- athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
