Shelby Lucas, Indiana University Southeast – Softball Player of the Week

5-2 Freshman – Columbus, IN

Indiana University Southeast freshman Shelby Lucas was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 14^th.

Lucas finished the week with a .471 batting average (8-for-17) as the Grenadiers finished the week with a 4-2 record. The freshman catcher had 2 doubles, 4 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. She was clutch last week delivering two out hits and game winning RBIs. Lucas ranks 10^th in the KIAC with a .395 batting average and is 2^nd with four triples.

Indiana University Southeast is 25-10 overall and leads the conference with a 15-3 record. They will return to action on April 16^th when they host Ohio Christian for a doubleheader.
