Michael DeJesus, Point Park University – Baseball Player of the Week

5-10 Junior – Miami, FL

Point Park University junior Michael DeJesus was named the KIAC baseball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 21^st.

DeJesus finished the week hitting .611 (11-for-18) as the Pioneers ended the week with a 4-1 record. The junior shortstop had at least one hit in each game. He also had three multi-hit games including a 4-for-4 game against Berea College. He recorded 4 doubles, 1 homerun, 7 runs batted in, 2 walks and 4 runs scored. DeJesus is currently 6^th in the KIAC with a .379 batting average, 3^rd in RBIs (42) and 5^th in runs scored (41). He also ranks 3^rd in the KIAC and 14^th nationally with 17 doubles.

Point Park University is 35-13 overall and 16-4 in conference play. They will return to action April 23-26 at the KIAC Baseball Tournament in Kingsport, TN.
