Karen Mao, Point Park University – Softball Player of the Week

5-8 Junior – Anaheim, CA

Point Park University junior Karen Mao was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 21^st.

Mao finished the week with a .500 batting average (8-for-16) as the Pioneers ended the week with a 6-0 record. The Pioneer junior recorded 2 doubles, 7 runs batted in, 2 stolen bases, and 5 runs scored. She tallied at least one hit in 5 of the 6 games and had three multi-hit games. She currently ranks 9^th in the KIAC with a .384 batting average and 6^th with 27 RBIs.

Point Park University is 22-14 overall and 15-7 in conference play. They will return to action on April 22^nd when they host Carlow University for a doubleheader.
