Asbury University senior Maddie Lewis was named the KIAC volleyball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 22nd. Asbury finished the week 4-0 after defeating Berea College (3-0), Huntington University (3-0), Roosevelt University (3-2) and Judson College (3-0). Lewis recorded double digit digs in every game including 43 in a 3-2 comeback against Roosevelt. She also had 16 digs against Berea, 15 against Huntington and 23 against Judson. She currently ranks 2nd in NAIA digs per game (6.94). The Eagles are currently 15-6 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will return to action on September 23rd when they host Indiana University Southeast.
