Dwayne Bazemore, University of Rio Grande -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week

6-10 Junior – Columbus, OH

University of Rio Grande junior Dwayne Bazemore was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 19^th.

Rio Grande finished the week 2-0 after defeating Indiana University Kokomo and University of Cincinnati-Clermont. For the week, Bazemore averaged 19.5 points and 6 rebounds while playing less than 20 minutes in both contests. He shot 80 percent (16-of-20) from the field. The junior center tallied 16 points and 8 rebounds in an 81-73 win at IU Kokomo. He finished the week with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal in a 133-91 win against Cincinnati-Clermont. Bazemore ranks 3^rd in the KIAC in points per game (17.89) and 4^th in rebounds per game (9.11).

The RedStorm are currently 12-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play. They will return to action on January 20^th when they host Alice Lloyd College
