KIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week Katie Walsh (IU Southeast)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Katie Walsh led IU Southeast to the conference regular-season title and was named the KIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for Oct. 5-11.
Walsh, a senior from Greenwood, Ind., earned the weekly honor for the second time this year. In a 5-4 victory over Asbury that clinched the KIAC regular-season championship last Saturday, Walsh won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and won, 8-1, at No. 2 doubles.
Walsh improved to 8-2 in singles play and 9-1 in doubles play on the year. IU Southeast is now 8-2 overall and won the conference title by completing a perfect 5-0 record in KIAC matches.
