KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week Chandler Brown (Rio Grande)
FLORENCE, Ky. – The University of Rio Grande libero Chandler Brown has been chosen as the KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week for her play Oct. 5-11.
A junior from Stockdale, Ohio, Brown recorded 55 total digs in nine sets on the week for an average of 6.11 digs per set. Her play on defense led Rio Grande to a 3-0 week, and all three matches went straight sets.
Brown, who is second in the KIAC with 5.6 digs per set and fourth with 350 total digs, served at a .975 success rate with just one error and six aces in 40 attempts. She was perfect on serve-receive at 1.000 with zero errors in 30 attempts.
