KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Brooke Perkins (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Asbury (Ky.) University goalkeeper Brooke Perkins has been named the KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 12-18, the third time she's won the award this season.
Perkins posted two shutouts on the week to give her five on the year. She made four saves in a 1-0 win over Midway (Ky.). In a 4-0 win over Carlow, she played all 90 minutes, just like she did versus Midway.
Perkins has played all 12 games for Eagles (7-4-1, 2-1 KIAC) and leads the KIAC with a 1.05 goals-against average. That figure ranks 42nd in the NAIA. She has 61 saves, and has played every minute of the season.
